The Comfort Crew had the opportunity to work with some amazing military families last week at the Texas Courageous Family Camp in Brownwood. The camp is a place where military families can enjoy camp activities apart from the day-to-day challenges of military life. Families enjoyed activities like swimming, hiking, archery, ropes course, dancing, crafts, service projects, kayaking, water sports, a color run, and so much more.
We were able to visit with all the families, share our brand new reintegration DVD, and make sure every camper left with Comfort Crew resources . . and a Cuzzie. It was icing on the cake to run into one of our Camp Hero campers, Nathan (pictured right). Thanks to Texas 4-H and OMK for inviting us to speak and to Camp Director Mark Carroll for always being such a good host. We hope the families had a great time!
